Inspiring the next generation of leaders.
Catapult takes pride in the staff we hire from year to year. Our staff members are one of the key ingredients to an amazing camp experience, and we go to great lengths to recruit, interview, hire and train our team. 74% of our staff volunteers choose to return to Catapult – some for multiple years. We look for volunteers who are warm, compassionate, encouraging who are great role models for our youth.
All volunteer staff are interviewed and hired by our Executive Director & Camp Director, and background and reference checks are an important part of the process. Once hired, every member of our staff is required to review our Catapult Staff Manual prior to arrival and participate in our staff training days in the days just before our campers’ arrival. Our staff consists of our Camp Director, Head Counselor, Camp Nurse, Youth Support Worker, Family Counselors and Junior Counselors.
Our camp staff team gain a great deal from their Catapult experience:
Develop leadership skills
Self-reflect
Be part of a passionate team of like-minded peers
Make a positive difference
