“It was a privilege to be a part of this life changing experience for these kids.  The program was amazing and the speakers top notch.  I learned as much about leadership and my own potential as our kids did.”
~ Claire Coulter, Acadia University

Do you want to inspire a young person to grow, dream and discover their potential? Catapult Camp might be just the volunteer opportunity for you! We have 2 options for you to choose from:

Catapult Camp – Acadia University
A world class, week-long summer leadership camp for Nova Scotia teens entering grade 10.
(7 day camp + 2 days of training)

Catapult Plus Conference – Acadia University
A Catapult alumni 4-day conference experience focused on further developing leadership skills.
(4 day conference + 1 day of training)

Catapult focuses on students with natural leadership skills who may not have the opportunities others have to achieve their full potential. Our counselors are volunteers who want to cultivate new leaders by positively influencing their lives – so they in turn can make a positive difference in their schools and communities. Catapult is a registered charity and the camp is free of charge to all participants.

This is an exciting opportunity to discover more about yourself, help youth from across Nova Scotia, and be a part of the pay it forward Catapult community. All counselors will receive volunteer confirmation and references for graduate applications; however, you’ll find the rewards even further reaching following camp. If you are a returning Catapult counselor, you will be compensated for your experience.

To qualify as a counselor you must be:
• a University student or recent graduate
• minimum age of 20
• lead by example
• and volunteer!

If you’re interested in becoming a Catapult counselor, please contact Catapult at or phone 902-830-5704.
