November 19th – Holiday Parade of Lights from 4pm – 9pm (*Volunteers must be 16 years+ to volunteer for this event*)
Help collect donations from the crowd in downtown Halifax

November 26 or 27 – Victorian Christmas – Citadel Hill from 12pm – 4pm

Salvation Army

December 3 – Santa Shuffle — 5K Fun Run and 1K Elf Walk to raise funds for The Salvation Army. To register as a participant or group, visit: www.santashuffle.ca Catapult already has 2 family teams entered!

December – Kettle worker — kettles (collection buckets) are located in stores and throughout shopping malls to raise critical funds. The kettle worker serves as a representative of The Salvation Army — they thank people who make donations and field any questions. Volunteers may work alone or in pairs. If interested, contact 902-455-1201 to be connected with the Salvation Army kettle coordinator nearest you.

Toy packing/sorting — “Christmas elves” are needed to help pack and sort toys at our warehouse in Dartmouth Crossing. Toys are distributed to families in need at Christmas. To volunteer alone or as a group, contact: James Woods @ 902-422-1598
