Catapult provides a fun, high energy learning experience focused on enhancing leadership skills just prior to starting Grade 10. Campers will learn problem solving techniques, decision making skills and the benefits of effective teamwork. The programme is a combination of inspiring presentations and exciting adventure activities set in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. Catapult’s focus is on teens who would otherwise never have the opportunity to take part in this type of experiential learning. Nominated by their Teachers, Catapult campers will be the students who have enormous potential with all the qualities to succeed - but who haven't had many chances to participate in experiences that develop team building skills and confidence. Catapult’s experienced and capable staff is led by Program Director "Mr. Phil" Gugliuzza, a dynamic leadership expert from New Orleans who has inspired thousands of students in over 13 countries. Our Student & Staff Director, Julian Maynard, hails from Nassau, Bahamas, and now lives, works and studies in Boston, Mass. and has spent the past 5 summers working camps in Europe. Solidifying the team as Administrative Director is Catapult Founder, Jane Roy of Bedford, NS. They are supported by a team of counselors (all university students), a nurse and top notch speakers – ensuring a FUN and engaging camp experience. Catapult is a non-profit camp fully funded by corporate sponsorships. Registration, accommodation, meals and even transportation will be provided at no cost to the student or school. |
