, FCPA, FCA – Founder and Chair
Jane is the Creator and Chair of Catapult Leadership Society. She’s on the Board of Governors of St. Mary’s University and a Director of NS regional Tennis Development Centre. Before retiring, Jane held several CFO positions and was President of Financial Executives International. She was Founding Chair of Autism Nova Scotia and Founding Chair of the Medavie War Canoe Challenge. She was named Nova Scotia’s CA of the Year for 2009, a Woman of Excellenc in 2015 and a Commonewealth Point of Light in 2018.

, MEd
Tom is Senior Director of Student Services at Saint Mary’s University. He focuses on the student development through leadership opportunities and mentoring. Tom holds a Master of Education degree and previously worked at Memorial University and Brandon University. He was also a Policy Advisor to Newfoundland’s Minister of Health and Community Services and is an excellent public speaker on such topics as teamwork, leadership, networking and time management. Tom has extensive experience in youth based programs and places strong emphasis on development and program assessment.

, CPA, CA – Vice Chair
Margot has been involved with Catapult since the outset. her professional experience ranges from strategic planning, financial budgeting and analysis as a consultant to companies like Nova Scotia Business Incl, Bell Aliant and most recently YMCA. As franchise operator of Halifax’s CBC Hockey Night in Canada’s “Play On!” street hockey event in 2009-2014 she grew the event by 130% to a record of over 4,600 participants. Margot also serves on the Board of Shelter Nova Scotia.

Ashley has experience in strategic management, risk assessment and tax planning as well as in mentoring and coaching. She is currently teaching (part time) at Acadia University and teaching yoga while caring for her 2 young sons. Ashley has volunteered in an orphanage in Rwanda, organized food drives, and has rappelled off the MacDonald bridge for Easter Seals. She delivers a session on money management at our PLUS conference.

Ken recently retired as VP Business Strategy and CFO of Erdene Resource Development and now sits on its Board of Directors. He’s also President and Owner of Fisher Transport, a specialized transport company which he runs alongside his sons. A proud SMU alum, Ken has been associated with Catapult since its genesis when he convinced Erdene to become our Founding Sponsor. Ken and his wife Pam never miss a closing dinner/ceremony where they enjoy meeting campers.

– Secretary
Stefanie owns and operates Halifax Paper Hearts, a graphic design studio. A finalist for the Halifax Chamber’s New Business of the Year, it’s been featured in Forbes, Financial Post and Huffington Post. Stefanie co-founded 100 Entrepreneurs: PLANTING SEED$ and is a Director of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. She has received Volunteer Awards from Halifax and Nova Scotia and she was named a Woman of Excellence in 2017. Steafanie has been a Counselor at both Catapult’s summer camp and conference.

– Treasurer
Marlene is a self-employed accountant, offering bookkeeping, office management and event planning services to a variety of clients in the Halifax area. Marlene is also active with her church where she sits on the Baptismal Preparation Team. A proud PE’Islander, Marlene takes care of our books and finances.


Marc is a Marine Ecology Technical Leader for Canada at Stantec where he manages, mentors and coaches a team of environmental professionals. He’s an Adjunct Professor at Dalhousie University and an Army Reserve officer with 20+ years in the military medical field. Marc also serves on the boards of the Southern Gulf of St. Lawrence Coalition on Sustainability as well as the Atlantic chapter of the Canadian Land Reclamation Association.


Kristen is a strategic communications and public policy executive with the provincial government. She worked in Communications for more than a decade as Director of Communications at the departments of Community Services and Labour and Advanced Education before moving to the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development where she is currently working on special projects as Executive Lead, Strategic Initiatives. Before joining government, Kristen was a print, radio and TV journalist with more than 10 years experience as a reporter, producer and anchor. She also worked as a communications consultant and an educator.


Tyler is our Catapult Alumni representative. He attended Catapult camp in 2010 and says it changed his life. In high school, he was elected President of his student council and awarded the Lieutenant Governor Award for leadership. Tyler has a B.Comm. from Saint Mary’s. He’s been a Counselor at both Catapult camp and our Plus Conference and he Chairs our Alumni Conference.

– Executive Director
Prior to becoming our ED, Lori served as a Board Director while working with Scotiabank’s Atlantic Office as Special Projects Coordinator. She as a Degree in Business along with extensive experience managing corporate and charity events. Working from a home office, Lori is responsible for delivering our strategic plan, including the development and delivery of all our programs, liasing with schools, and maintaining close relationships with our students. Lori provides administrative support during camp and conference and brings passion and enthusiasm to everything she does.
