Jane is the Creator and Chair of Catapult Leadership Society. She’s on the Board of Governors of St. Mary’s University and a Director of NS regional Tennis Development Centre. Now retired, Jane held several senior financial positions with public and private corporations and was President of Financial Executives International (Atlantic Chapter). She was Founding Chair of Autism Nova Scotia, Founding Vice-Chair of the Autism Golf Ball and Founding Chair of the Medavie War Canoe Challenge. She was named Nova Scotia’s CA of the Year for 2009 and a Woman of Excellence in 2015.
, CPA, CA – Vice Chair
Margot has over 25 years experience as an entrepreneur and a consultant. Her experience ranges from strategic planning, financial budgeting & analysis to event production for companies like Nova Scotia Business Inc., Bell Aliant and Bell Sympatico. As franchise operator of Halifax’s CBC Hockey Night in Canada’s “Play On!” street hockey event in 2009-2014 she grew the event by 130% to a record of over 4,600 participants.

Donnie is President and CEO of Crombie REIT. He is a (Fellow) Chartered Accountant and has completed leadership programs at the Harvard Business School and the Ivey School of Business. Donnie is a Past President of the NS Institute of CA’s and a member of the Board of Governors of Acadia University.
Dr. Howard Conter, MD – Fundraising Director
Howard is a well-known physician who has been practicing family medicine in Halifax for over 25 years. His other philanthropic pursuits include the Tema Conter Memorial Trust and Air Canada’s Dreams Take Flight.
Marlene Nicholson – Treasurer
Marlene is a self-employed accountant, offering bookkeeping, office management and event planning services to a variety of clients in the Halifax area. Marlene is also active with her church where she sits on the Baptismal Preparation Team.

Ashley has experience in strategic management, risk assessment and tax planning as well as in mentoring and coaching. She is currently on a leave of absence to raise her two young children and complete her yoga teacher training. Ashley has volunteered in an orphanage in Rwanda, organized food drives, and has rappelled off the MacDonald bridge for Easter Seals. She delivers a session on money management at our PLUS conference.
Stefanie owns and operates Halifax Paper Hearts, a graphic design studio. A finalist for the Halifax Chamber’s New Business of the Year, it’s been featured in Forbes, Financial Post and Huffington Post. Stefanie co-founded 100 Entrepreneurs: PLANTING SEED$ and is a Board Director of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. In 2015, Stefanie received Volunteer Awards from the City of Halifax and the Province of Nova Scotia and she was named a Woman of Excellence in 2017. She has been a Counselor at both Catapult’s summer camp and conference.
Michael started his first business at age 13 and is now the co-founder & CEO of Swept Technologies. Michael was the recipient of the prestigious Frank H. Sobey Award for Excellence in Business Studies and a graduate of the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University. He also serves on the boards of Junior Achievement and Feed Nova Scotia.
Marc is a Senior Marine Scientist and Biostatistician with Stantec where he manages, mentors and coaches a team of environmental professionals. He’s an Adjunct Professor at Dalhousie University and is also a Canadian Forces Army Reserve officer with over 20 years of service in the military medical field. Marc also serves on the boards of the Southern Gulf of St. Lawrence Coalition on Sustainability as well as the Atlantic chapter of the Canadian Land Reclamation Association.
